Has anyone altered their math instruction as a result of Laura's presentation on productive disposition?
Also, I just read the article "Tying it all Together," and I'm starting to incorporate the "convince me" activities into my instruction. Is anyone else doing this? If so, how is it going?

*Knock Knock*
¡Hola!
I am eager to share many of the great ideas I learned at the convention I attended Thursday through Sunday! One of the resources I am most interested in using is a class blog with Blogger.com. Has anyone used Blogs in the classroom at SMA? If so, is there any ideas/advice you could offer on the following?
- Security/safety of student submissions to blog
- Using a blog to post homework instead of a teacher website
- General success and ideas for use of blogs in the classroom
I am starting off my Blogging expedition with the 6th grade class, and will be challenging the students to post oral and written submissions in Spanish. Check it out at: http://bgirmann6.blogspot.com/

Anchor Writing Papers by Grade Level
Teachers,
Solana Highlands posts writing samples by grade level on their website. Each grade level has a model paper that shows what low-high work looks like. Take a look: http://www.sbsd.k12.ca.us/District/Curriculum/AnchorPapers/Grades.htm

Sample Autobiographies
Teachers,
If you have completed The Autobiography Project with your class, could you bring three (1 low, 1 med., and 1 high) samples to next Friday's meeting (2/6)? Please bring enough copies to distribute to all of the language arts teachers. We may not have time to discuss, but I'm sure we'd all be interested in reviewing the completed project at different levels. Any other suggestions?
